Dr. Eric Ayala is a pastor, healthcare chaplain, and seminary professor. He is a native Floridian, a US Army veteran and the first in his family to go to college. He earned a bachelor's degree from Moody Bible Institute, a master's degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a doctorate from Anderson University. He holds a number of professional certifications related to spiritual care, palliative care, and end-of-life support. He has also served in homelessness recovery ministry, spiritual counseling, traumatic crisis support, and on ethics committees for healthcare organizations. He is married and has five children. He enjoys music, engaging conversation, and good food; preferably all at the same time.
